Bosnian kilim Zilijaš is hand woven ethnic carpet, the national symbol of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It takes several months to complete the carpet (kilim) by one woman. Zilijaš is the King of Kilims and the word "Zilijaš" means "for festivity". This Zilijaš is based on "Sarajevo" pattern. Although made somewhere around 1975, this Bosnian kilim (bosanski ćilim) is in condition NEW as it has never been used and was excellently stored. NOTE that average durability of Bosnian kilim (bosanski ćilim) is 300 years under use. This one is 30 years old, but it does look like made yesterday!
